Coesia finalizes the sale of IPI to Japanese Oji Holdings Corporation

On May 10th 2023 Coesia finalized the agreement with Oji Holdings Corporation, a leader in the pulp and paper industry in Japan, for the sale of IPI Srl, a leading supplier of aseptic carton packaging for the beverage and liquid food industry, based in San Sisto (Perugia), ensuring the safeguarding of the human resources.

IPI’s technology and know-how represent an important lever for the development of Oji in the paper sector, in particular concerning aseptic paper solutions. Oji and IPI are already working together in order to expand the business globally.

Oji Holdings Corporation, which is currently operating as a distributor for IPI in the Asian market, is a Japanese pulp and paper company headquartered in Ginza, Tokyo. With 27,360 employees and 156 subsidiaries worldwide, it was ranked the third largest company in its sector internationally in 2012. Oji Holdings Corporation is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of approximately 3.8 billion euros.
